Snoring is a Peculair Beast

Snoring for a lot of people is just some sort of an enigma. It is a riddle that has plagued a lot of people’s lives for a long time. Consider your parents. The likelihood that one of them actually snored is pretty high. I bet you never seen them find a solution that fixed the problem, but I bet you remember this problem dragging on for decades. Just think of mom in the bed, next to a snoring dad that has been doing it for decades. I really don’t know how anyone can live a life like that because that is absolutely crazy! I don’t know what is more alarming; snoring or the people that snore.

So why do people not seek out a solution for snoring?

This is a question that I have asked myself quite a few times and I’ve yet to figure out an answer. I keep coming back to two possible answers to this question. The first is that most people don’t want to change. I think a lot of people assume that you have to make a huge life change to fix this problem. In some cases that is true for snoring. Some people have to go through things like surgery or lose weight, but for the average person you don’t require much.

The other reason that pops into my mind is that there is no conventional wisdom when it comes to snoring. When you think about it, did you learn about fixing snoring problems in school or from your parents? If you’re watching your favorite sitcom on television, did they talk about fixing snoring problems? Most people have a generally idea of what they need to do for weight loss, but for snoring they don’t have the first clue.
